Again its Harshith's Birthday.... This time it is a fresh fruit cake.  The cake is neatly garnished with fresh fruits neatly chopped and arranged like a japanese fan....Two big slice of Pomegranate and a handful of grapes and row of cherries with some sweet chunks of oranges..... sliced guava and pieces of kiwis and apples around the cake with a green background.... come on Harshith... no need to dump the candles....lets dig in to the cake.....

Wedding Day Celebrations

Wedding Day Celebrations of Mahes and Devi is started with a cake cutting swarmed with the toddlers. The black forest is yummy and creamy as usual... Cherries were shared between the brothers and sisters.

Unforgettable memories of Atta

I have loads of Memories with Atta / Attai. She got married when i was doing schooling. SInce from the very beginning i got attached to Atta, as she cares for me. I visited Hyderabad with Atta and her son. There we went to Ramoji Film City. Atta was so excited and we spent the whole day happily enjoying in RFC.

She gifted me a wonderful saree which i wore for a TV show. Atta and her family is very much attached to me and my family. She cares for me and i had a immense love for her.  Atta had a special respect for mom & Dad. When we got to know that Atta got affected by cancer. Mom cried like anything. i couldnt believe it until I saw her in hospital. She was under Chemotheraphy. She turned pale and tonsured her head. my eyes welled up seeing her in such posture.I came out of the hospital room to cry my heart out as Atta's son and Daughter is there. I dont want them to see me crying. after a while i wiped off my tears and went inside the room and told her that cancer is nothing these days, so she will be fine soon. Atta Strongly believed that she will be alright. she wants to see my wedding. so i told her to get well soon to make further arrangemnts for my marriage. She was so excited about my marriage and gave me some secret tips to be have a happy married life.

She struggled with death everyday to survive from cancer. We were all praying god for her recovery. but god had other plans. So he had taken her far away from us. leaving the family in dismay.

Today i lost my Atta but not her memories.... Miss you Atta....Rest in Peace...

Sunday means SONday"

Tan tana Sunday.... First Sunday of the week. No off on Saturday.so have to plan to do all possible homework today itself it will become more by next weekend. So  No....Plans of outing Today. Only Cooking, Cleaning, washing if possible sleeping....

Chellakutty my laddu boy woke early along with his grandfather. When the water started coming in Handpump. He lend a helping hand to his grandpa and started to pump the metro water. Both of them filled the barrel and got bath while the water is available. His little hands turned Pinkish as he pumped the Handpump.

After filling up the water, He woke me up handing over a cup of coffee made by his grandpa. He added "Badi.... Finish up the coffee and come lets clean the vessels and wash clothes while the water is available.

I was feeling very sleepy so after sipping the coffee i dozed off. by then my Chellakutty tiptoed in to the Kitchen and cleaned all the vessels and coffee cups and he silently came and lied next to me until i wake up.

When i entered into the kitchen i was shell shocked seeing all utensils and vessels very clean. He also cleaned the Stove top also. I thought my dad has done all the work so i scolded him why is he doing this work at this age.

Then only i came to know that its my Chellakutty and  not my dad. I am so Happy and proud of my chellakuttty who shares most of load whenever possible for him.

I asked him" Do did you clean all the vessels?"

"I had seen you cleaning the utensils with Dishwash bar & liquid. so i followed the same" he replied

then I asked him"How did you clean the burnt milk pan?"

He quickly replied " I just put some salt and scrubbed the pan with scrubber. the stain vanished without a trace" then he added " have you noticed the taps?" i made it sparkle with a bit of ketchup"

i was dumbstuck listening to his demonstration of dishwashing. i wondered that How keenly this boy is watching all my activities theses days?. i felt happy thinking that what else could be the great gift other than this???? not only that boys are watching all the household chores only thing is that we are not teaching them to do the work that made them to think that it is girly work.

So now i need not worry about my son. Now son / daughter both are equal. They both are able to lend their hand for their mamma...

hey girls come lets pour our creativity in nail art. Bored with the same old nail paint. Come lets put some creativity. Nail art is trending one among the fashion freeks.

Since from my Childhood i am uite crazy about having long Nails and paint them with vivid colours. In those days itself i love to decorate my nails using the double nail colours applying crosswise and sticking some thin Kundan stones to make it look more attractive.

My friends felt that i am crazy. But i kept growing my nails sometimes in oval shape and sometimes let it flat. whatever shape it is, i never forgot to apply Nail paint on it. That crazy art is now known as French Manicure nail art that everyone loves to get it done on their nails.

There are Many Designs and patters in Nail Art and Even Nail art kit and other tools are a available in Market for the art lovers.

Nail art is very easy and one can do it at home.

1. Simple Lines:  Stick Cello tape on the nail leaving the edge. then apply desired colour at the edge and wait till it dries and apply another coat then remove the tape and apply clear mail polish for fine finish.

2. Dots: Dip Bobby Pin in Nail Polish and make dotted pattern of flowers on desired base coat to get a beautiful floral art.

Have you ever tried to turn up the coconut shell into a creative piece of Art. Here is the one that i came across in fb. what an idea na...???? Look at the cute Turtles... how cute they are... I just loved it.....

Money Envelopes

In my Childhood my Dad gives me a plain envelop to write " Best Compliments from KK Family" to gift money to married couple or Birthday baby or for any other occasion like Puberty Function Etc

Now Time has Changed so no more boring white or brown envelopes. There are plenty of designer Envelopes are available in market according to our choice.

Modern Envelopes comes in attactive designs and patterns with Mottifs of Stones attached with glittery lace.

Flowers of different colours in different desgner are also available.

Peacock feathers and other things are to decorate the envelope to make more attarctive.

No more Messy Almirah

Tv channels are flashing news  about the weather forecast stating that cyclone is going to hit Tamilnadu. Everyone is Talking about this news. As Tamilnadu is suffering with water scarcity and  people are longing eagerly for the rains to pour in.

The Sky looked unusual masking the scorching sun with the dark clouds. Cloudy Sunday morning makes me bit lazy. so  I asked my Chellakutty to bring the clothes that i let to dry in the terrace.
He ran up the stairs and picked up the washed clothes. He returned down with all the clothes neatly folded.

I was super excited seeing his perfection. the nmy sweet darling boy has took the task of folding the clothes and arranged the messed up almirah into a neat and tidy wardrobe. 

Meanwhile i had done other work. Sundays are not just Sundays anymore with smart sons around… Now its SON Days. TIme to teach some household Chores to our Sons. Sons were now taught how to do  the house chores like we have taught to our daughters.  Ariel has brought the change in many through the wonderful videos.

Earlier Laundry has been considered has womens job. But now things has been changed a lot. Men too started to realize the workload of  woman  indoors & outdoors.

Not only that, we have started to teach our sons to share the load at home. Why should girls / women have struggle with all the burden? So mothers started to train up their Laadli sons to share the household Chores like floor cleaning, Mopping, Laundry, arranging the cupboards/ almirah, watering the plants, arranging the bedding, Washing up Shoes, Cleaning the utensils etc.

Sharing the work gives more happiness then just sitting idle and the watching Tv. Moreover it is good for health as Children in this generation is not at playing any outdoor games. Most of the time spent in front of either watching Tv or playing Games in mobile or laptop.

This type of activity gives them a satisfaction that they are taking a part in helping their mothers and one can be a proud son.

Some of his friends who saw him mopping the floor has starting pulling his legs by saying that “Are you a Girl to do all this work? My mom / sister does this kind of work in my home?” This made my Chellakutty upset. Then I told my chellakutty not to feel shame for doing household chores and  showed the Ariel Video explaining that you should be proud that you are helping your mamma in the household work and also scoring well in studies and other activities. You are not letting your mom / sister struggle the whole day washing & cleaning. So, you be what you are. Dont worry about their comments. They too will follow you soon. I am proud of you son so be proud for sharing the load of your Mom.

He loves to do these household chores earlier also but he thought it was woman job as in all his friends house only woman/ girls are doing this task and says its a womans Job. now he realized completely that happiness comes out of sharing and it is no more  a womans job…  Sweet kisses to my sweet little chellakutty and he got his Favourite Gulabjamun for saving my time.

Lets bring the Change from home.... Time to change....

The Letter X  reminds me of  two things. first one is Xmas and the second one is Xerox.

X for Xmas, which was taught in school days is still in my mind. The term  Xmas is known as Christmas. The Festival that indicates the birth of Jesus Christ. Xmas brings the star an indication of the birth of Jesus.

Xerox is another word that we generally use in office is Put a xerox copy (xerox podu ma).

First wedding Anniversary

Hip Hip Hurray.... Its time to celebrate the happiest feel with my loved ones as 1 year, 365 days,52 weeks, 8760 hours, 525,600 minutes, 31,536,000 seconds successfully Completed  and  now I am steppibg into another year with my soulmate with same cheer and evergrowing love.

Reflection 

Hubby had booked tickets for a tamil Movie. so we are wtching a tamil movie at PVR Cinemas in VR mall with the little boy.

I have planned few Surprise gifts to Hubby whereas he had his own. When i showered him with surprise gifts. he didnt really expected that and so he felt very happy. We went for a Movie, then did shopping and eating out and spent the whole day together cherishing every nano second.  

In the evening we had arranged a small Party with my Family. The Photo Cake with the First Photo we took together is another Surprise for hubby. 

                                      

He was very much delighted as he didn't expected this one.  after cake cutting  we exchanged Rings. The Photo Wall clock and the Key chains and our names embossed Pens are another surprise from my Brother and his family. we took Blessings from our parents and had a Gala Dinner.

Day out with Colleagues

One fine Saturday evening my colleagues planned to take a break after a hectic week and go to Elliots Beach in Besant Nagar.

as my hubby is unwell and so i had no plans about the outing but after the lunch break one of  mycolleague named Manikandan (little Dadiwala) came up telling me to join with them and he added that he will drop me at home as he had brought the car that day.

Senthil sir and others insisted me to come. Though i was not mentally prepared, somehow i finally  nodded my head with a YES.

all set around 4.00pm. Viji, Renuka and selvi joined with me into the  Kwid, while others started in their two wheeler.

Sathish fled with vinod to get the Bat and ball to play in the Beach, Sam and Senthil sir started off in their bike and New guy srinivas took selvi's vehicle and whereas Sethulakshmi got popped into Maha lakshmi's Scooty pep..

we first reached the beach and waited for others to join. then others joined with a huge noise and they all carried me inside the beach. All guys started to play cricket including Satya (BF of S). while we girls are indulged in other activities and some  where throwing sand at eachother. Maha and renuka went to play in water while others watching cricket. i was clicking pictures randomly as it was still hot.

Bat got broke in-between the play. but the boys didnt giveup. they continued the play with the broken bat.

after the play we all went inside the beach to explore. Senthil, Mani Arul, Srinivas, vinod and Satish  all carried me in with wheelchair. then the guys now started swimming in the beach. when few girls were sitting in the shore watching the tides and others went off to play in the water. Arul and Vinod were swimming  and sam sittting in the water and taking a dip. one big wave swirled around arul and vinod and i got scared. luckily they came out of the water and sat in the shore.

after relaxing for a while we all planned to have Jigardanda so its time to leave. as the guys are exhausted to carry me back we hired a horse to drop me back at the entrance. Its my long time dream to ride on a Horseback. my dream came true today because of my colleagues.

Senthil and Vinod helped me to climb the horse and Renu sat behind my back to support me. I reached the entrance while others walked off.
