Love Birds every one would love to have these pretty birds as their pet in house.

These cute birds are captured in one of  my colleague house.
I just loved the tiny creatures that make such a beautiful chirping noise that makes one's mind soothing and calm.

It will be really good to have such a wonderful creatures around. we can have fun spending time sitting with the birds and feeding them. if we keep a plate of water inside the cage it will start bathing flattering its wet wings drenched in water. It would be a wonderful sight to cherish.

Book Review: Ramayana - The Game of Life : Shattered Dreams

I am honoured to be called upon by BlogAdda to review a book "Ramayana - The Game of Life : The Shattered Dreams" by Shubha Vilas.

Here before presenting my review of the book, I apologise blogadda for the delay of the review. As i was suffering from fever for the past 10 days so I couldn’t able to write the review, as my eyes were burning with irritation caused by fever.

Coming to the review Ramayana -The Game of Life by Shubha Vilas. Shattered Dreams is the sequel of the book, Rise of the Sun Prince,in the new spiritual and motivational series Ramayana - The Game Of Life.Twelve joyful years have passed in Ayodhya since the wedding of Rama and Sita at the end of the first Book.

In Shattered Dreams,Shubha Vilas narrates the riveting drama of Rama's exile.Through tales of Rama's unwavering and enigmatic person.the book teaches us how to handle reversals positively;through Bharata's actions,

it teaches us to handle temptation and through Sita's courage,to explore beyond our comfort zone. This complicated family drama provides deep insights on how human relationships work and how they fail.

Review~

Shubha Vilas narrated in a very interesting style which makes it easy to understand.  This book enlightens us to walk on the right path,to choose truth over any other thing. we can learn many lessons from this book which helps to make our life better.

It gives a clear explanation of importance of relationships of every aspect of life in every page. Every page is a new lesson for the reader.

As we say, “Truth itself becomes a shield that protects one from all calamities and not exiled”.

This book tells us to show Kindness, accomodation, appreciation, integrity of substance which adds to internal rituals  while Money, fame, glorification, grandeur add to external rituals of show. it also explains about our environment which raises our hopes or dashes them at times.

It also speaks about the importance of scriptures, which was cleverly molded by kaikeyi, the  meaning of ideal marriage, the importance of peaceful mind rather than Luxuries and also clarifies the importance of loyalty. Remembrance of one's humble beginnings even after achieving great heights is the pill that prevents the acidity of arrogance.

It throws light on how one can maintain good relationships in life. Relationships thrive when genuine service is acknowledged by active gratitude. The decisions have to be made in moments of strength not in moment of weakness for a healthy relationship.

Communication is must for a good relationship wherein Rama and Sita speak so little but understood eachother so much.

Good relationship grow when both the happy and sad phases of life are shared and complaints are kept at bay.

Convenience is about changing the law to suit your life but maturity is about changing your life to salute the law.

I would only recommend this for people who are interested in looking at Ramayana.

A Style Of My Own

This post is being written as part of the Women’s Web – Trishla eMart ‘A Style of My Own!’ campaign with a link to the Trishla emart website.

I am physically challenged and a working woman who has spent a good 35 years as a single woman and going to get engaged soon with my sweetheart. My Life is full of ups and downs, turmoil, pain etc which I don’t need to tell, though I have my own style either in fashion or attitude. It helped me to flourish in every step of my life with the qualities of patience, politeness, humility & it defines my persona.
My style is to wear a smile on face though I have lot of pain. A person with a smiling face and with good qualities is always different from the crowd.  So my way of dressing is always unique with a mixation of trendy fashion. My friends and colleagues call me as ‘Fashion Devil’ because I always wear something that suits me, whether it is western or traditional. I am selective in fashion, as I don’t wear everything that’s available in market or simply someone is wearing something... my dressing comforts me and suits my mood and above all gives me confidence to move ahead.
My family and friends give me a carefree soul and I adore them a lot. They loves me and my style and I have a tiny group of followers too.

The Journey from OR to AND

It is tough to select the right path for everyone because that single decision might change our life either good or bad. One such decision was taken by me, which is a turning point of my life.
After completing my schooling I applied for under graduate course and simultaneously I wanna study Prathmic in hindi. So I asked mom to check with the hindi master who is running a Institute. whether he could take home tuition for me.

He commented to mom that it is waste of money, educating a handicapped girl and agreed to take classes on weekends. When Mom told about this I didn’t feel bad or upset I just concentrated on studies and passed with distinction, which made him feel proud. The exam result has changed him a lot later he voluntarily came to teach me for further exams.
After studies my friends suggested me to go for job, while my parents asked me run PCO in which I was not at all interested. Business is my passion. That was the time for me to take right decision. Usually when a guy chooses his passion over commitments, it's called risk, brilliance; etc  however, when a girl does that, family neighbors tag her as stubborn, headstrong.
I have no investment or resources to start a business. At last after lot of thinking and convincing my parents I finally started recruitment consultancy with zero investment. Gradually my business picked up and got a good reputation. Then I started writing short stories for magazines. I cleared all the family debts and built a constructed a house now my family and siblings are very proud of me.

Now all my relatives and friends are happy and proud of me. As they never expected that a handicapped girl in wheel chair can achieve something like this. I hope my story gives inspiration to all the readers.

Ashok Pillar

Daily while crossing the Ashok Pillar I near forgot to admire huge pillar in Ashok Nagar named as Ashok pillar. I will have a glance at the pillar with four lion head stump everyday. Sometimes a dove will be sitting on it.
It is situated in the residential locality at the southern part of Chennai, India. It was established in 1964. At the heart of this colony, stands the Ashok Pillar. This four lion head stump which resembles the one erected by king Ashoka during the 3rd century BC at Sanchi.
The Tamil Nadu Housing Board has constructed this pillar during the year 1970s to promote this suburban locality of Ashok Nagar in Chennai. Later this  Ashok Pillar has become the landmark of the locality Ashok Nagar, which gradually turned into a shopping hub.

These trendy shopping areas and the metro connection are making Ashok Nagar an attractive locality for investment.

Memories of Rajiv Gandhi Memorial

Whenever I pass through the industrial city of Sriperumbudur the first thing that catches your glance is the Indian National Flag at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial. The memorial has one of the biggest flag staffs of India carrying Indian National Flag. When it was opened to the public in 2003, since then Iam planning to visit this place but due to other plans and work schedule i couldnt able to make it. So while returning from Kancheepuram  on 07.01.2014 we drove in to the Memorial with my family.

This is the very place where the youngest Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated at the age of 40, in the year 1991 on 21st May by a suicide bomber while campaigning for election at this place and government later converted this place into a memorial.

He was the Son of the Brave Lady and former Prime Minister Indra Gandhi and the Grandson of the first Prime minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

It is just 40 kms away from Chennai at Sriperumbudur in kanchipuram district on the road of NH4 and become an important tourist attraction for visitors.

Well groomed Handsome

My neighbour Ritika aunty son satish is very charming and adorable in his school days and we were childhood friends. Later his father go transferred to Hardoi a city in Uttar Pradesh. Thus they left Chennai and i got to know that satish joined in a residential school in Nainital.
As the days passed by we lost contact with them. Later on I grown up and completed my studies and joined in a job. In my office i saw a guy who was quite stubble with a shabby look. I didn’t like neither his look nor i liked to speak with him.
My parents started to see a groom for me through a wedding broker. They picked few of the grooms pictures with decent back ground given by the broker and shoved on me.
Though i was not interested to marry at that time i just flipped through the photos. A well groomed handsome guy grabbed my attention. I liked his appearance and selected him without a second thought.
He came to see me on a fine day with his family, then they have told that he too works in the same office where i work and he knows me well. Then only i realised that i fell in love with the same guy whom i never preferred to have a look because of his stubble face and the most happiest thing is that he is none other than my childhood sweetheart satish. Yes the same Ritika aunty’s son.
Colourful butterflies started fluttering around me and i felt singing like “ippadi oor nalluravu vaaiththiduma? Veettu kulle vinmeengal poothiduma”
Thats how my sweetheart stolen my little heart, with well groomed appearance.

Tell the truth

                                              Kinley 2014 TVC

When My Parents started to find a Life partner for they picked few photos from the Wedding broker.
One Guy was so handsome though he is not so fair or well settled. My parents first liked him and felt ok to go on with this alliance and exchanged the photos with their family.

So things were going on right track with his family we exchanged our contact numbers and started conversing with each other. Meanwhile we both understood each other and fell in love with each other.
On one fine day my parents announced that alliance wont work out so they started finding someone again.

as i was in love with him i continued talking with him. but i was feeling guilty. that day when i reached home fully worn out. my mom gave me a chilled water of kinley, having water i felt relaxed but i couldnt resist telling the truth.

so i opened up the matter about him. they felt happy for telling the truth and went on to fix the wedding day...

Be Clean & Keep Clean

India, the most prosperous and developed nation of the world, which is rich in all the resources, which envied the foreign nations for clean, clear and pure surroundings. but now it seems like loosing its glory. but we ourselves have the solution for this problem. We, every Indian is responsible for our Present situation and we are capable of making our future bright and Glorious like before.

Our Mother land is quite precious. we have to pass it to our next generation in a better shape, which we got from our ancestors. We became lazy and so we shirk our duties so easily just by blaming others for these problems.

A Neighbour of mine is one such person who stand in her balcony to brush her teeth and spit the litter on the road, whenever she buys fish she makes  the vendor to clean it and throws away the waste on the road, it wont end up with that she throws away the leftover food etc on the road. not only that we pollute the natural resourses like air, water and soil.

Soil Pollution: we dump solid waste like littering plastic bags-bottles, plaster of Paris statues, pesticides and then reluctantly there are epidemics like Dengue, Plague etc and we hold the government responsible for this.

Air Pollution: Carbon - di - Oxide and carbon mono oxide emitting from vehicles, bursting fire-crackers, burning of tyres on festivals

Water Pollution: we dump industrial waste into Rivers and Oceans.

Sanitation and hygiene begin at our Homes and spread over to public places. Our children learn hygienic habits from us. It is our duty to teach our children good sanitation and hygiene habits.our good hygiene and sanitation practice will surely transform India at large for the better environment and brighter future.

Say No to Pre-Marital Sex

It is essential to teach our young ones about sex before marriage and it is our duty to create awareness among young girls to school kids.

One day while having a girly talk with my niece who is a college goer then telling about her male friends. Then i told her that you do whatever you want and enjoy to the core but when it comes to the three letter word called SEX, Just say NO to pre-marital sex.

Many people may tell you to have sex before you get married, because of the fast growing living together culture and you might be influenced by the romance novels, you would see the blushing heroine seduced by the dashing hero, and they have sex and then babies, and marriage is involved somewhere there, but pre – marital sex is not good.

Sex and Marriage are two different entities and they should not be mixed. It is our culture to “save yourself” till you get married, for which the the whole world bows its head. Sex is just a part of life, which you can enjoy after marriage till then

enjoy life until you meet your Prince charming who would really not care who you have been with, because he/she will see you for who you are, with all your good, bad, ugly, fun, beautiful, flaky, creative, boring, wonderful bits, and love all of you. As i ended my speech with a full stretch she felt happy and headed out to do some gardening.

This post is written  in response to Indiblogger's Question YES or NO to Pre-marital sex, with Poonam Uppal’s True Love A Passionate Gospel of True Love - A Mystical True Love Story  Check out her book today."

Drive safely, Live Happily

The Nissan Safety Driving Forum has started an initiative for road safety in India. A very good initiative in the days of rising road traffic issues and lack of safe-driving-sense in the current days. Thanks to NSDF team for initiating a noble cause and I am glad to be a part of this Programme.
Due to high prices everyone needs to have a own vehicle for their comfort, hence there is a sudden crescendo in the number of vehicles that are put on roads. safety starts from every responsible driver.

Few useful points that would save life of the driver and his fellows while on wheels.

1.  Proper training from registered driving schools.
2.  Follow traffic rules. This would be the first and foremost rule for every driver and the                          Indian Government has always emphasized its importance on traffic rules. Violators                            must and should be penalised.
3.  Proper use of indicators while taking any turn. Many drivers who do not show indicator                      signals of their vehicles and suddenly take a right or a left turn disrupting the traffic flow                      behind them, which leads to accidents at times.
4.   Avoid drink and drive.
5.  Wear helmet while riding a two-wheeler, which provides protection from major injuries                      to head and prevents the person life-threatening dangers caused by road accidents.
6.  Wearing seat-belts in a car to avoid risks caused by an accident.
7.  Avoid rash driving.

Do not rush on roads. If you are supposed to reach a place on time, start few minutes earlier than required. It is our duty to follow the traffic rules for our safety.
