No more Soakinggg....
"What do you think of when you hear the words - Soak No More! Do you feel that you're soaked in work and the daily grind? Or do you always find yourself soaked in rain when you need it the least? You could write a story, a poem or narrate an incident - get crazy and get creative!" A contest Hosted by Surf Excel Matic on Indiblogger."
Th word Soaking reminds many things like soaking in Rain,Love, affection etc to others but to me it reminds me of my life...so here is goes like this....
Soaked in Fear
Soaked in Frustration & Anger
I couldnt able to tolerate the pain and frustration.Life on wheels is an unexpected one,but i have to...tears welled from eyes but i have no option as my parents tried all the positive ways to cure me,but in vain.only tears remained.I couldnt able to concentrate in studies.my parents were upset seeing my condition.eventhough iam soaked in tears and pain i couldnt cry in front of my parents.my tears will make them feel guilt for my condition.so i stopped crying but its not the solution for my issues.
worrying or crying wont take me anywhere.so decided to continue my studies.I concentrated on my studies and passed my board exams with flying colours.college is too far from my place so i joined in B.com through distance education so that i can work and earn something for my expenses.so i started taking tuitions for school students. After completion of my graduation,my friends were started hunting for job.Everyday we discuss about the experience of attending interviews. Two of my friends got job in a small company while others were still in the hunting process.one of my friend's uncle asked me to refer my friends for front office people for his Boutique.so i refered my friends to join in the boutique.
All my friends joined in job except me.I dont want to trouble someone daily to take me to the interviews.while i was thinking of what to do???i got an idea of Recruitment consultancy. So i started my consultancy with Zero experience and experience. From then No more soaking in my life...i was successfully giving jobs to the needy.so i am happy and satisfied. No more Soaking in Pain...

Shopping at my fingertips
Everyone loves shopping, especially girls.Am i right???We shop for hours and hours and at the end of every shopping we still feel that we forgot to buy something.Aren't we?
In such cases online shopping comes for the rescue.many people told me that online shopping is not a reliable one.so i use to buy only Pizza's online. At that time i got a gift voucher from women's web to shop at zivame.I had a very good shopping experience with zivame The experience i had shopping with zivame has gave me some guts to go for online shopping. From then on,I have been hooked to shop online and my shopping cart is always full.
Online shopping is a boon for a person in wheel chair like me.One can just enjoy the pleasure of shopping just by sitting on the couch of our living room, sipping the hot sizzling coffee or lying on the bed.
Apart from zivame,I found few other sites but, unfortunately i did not have credit card to place my order in those sites..by that time i found snapdeal. My first experience at snapdeal was a order for a surprise Gift to my little sister. She had told me that she didnt get Lakme Perfect radiance in her place and asked me to get one,so that she will collect it when she visits next time.So i was surfing net and found the product in snap deal with a discount. So i paid online and placed my order.I got the shipping details to my mail and was eagerly waitin for the call from my sister. She was so surprised and excited to receive it.She was so happy and thanked me for sending her a pleasant surprise and smiles her way.It could have not been possible without online shopping. Then i went ahead and started purchasing various things ranging from home appliances to groceries. It is easier to sit in the comfort of my home and do shopping without getting tired.
But the most memorable experience was when i ordered a clutch at snapdeal for myself.which got delivered to me in 3 days neatly packed in a carton safe guarding the product with a Thermocol Pieces inside.Iam quite impressed with the way it is packed.I am quite excited and very much satisfied with my purchase.Once i didnt get the product delivery on time so i cancelled the order and they refunded my cash back. They provided a very good customer service.
Recently I wanted a Jhula for my little krishna on the janmastami.but i didnt know where exactly i will get the product.so i asked my friend in Mathura to send a jhula before janmastami. My friend ordered it through online using the net banking system and it reached me safely just on the day of the Krishna janmastami. That was a surprise gift for me and happy memory to cherish. How easier shopping has became huh???
Now a days i dont need to strain myself to go to shops and wait in queue for billing or to carry those heavy shopping bags.Everything comes to my doorsteps with just a click.I don't even need to trouble my mom or friends to shop for me at timesShopping is at my finger tips to choose various range of products. It helps to save most of my time too.Another interesting thing about online shopping that attracts everyone is the cash on delivery,Debit card payments, wonderful discounts, exchange offers, free shipping etc,...which brings a broad smile and gives a pleasant experience of shopping. Many sites like Snapdeal,Snap fish, hushbabies, crazeal etc gives a good deal for the products.so i can buy or send anything to anyone just by sitting at my home.
Another wonderful and memorable experience is a cycle as birthday gift to my little nephew.you could have seen their excitement on receiving the parcel. My niece and nephew are enjoying the ride on it happily. Not just buying alone,we can also sell our products online. Is n't it a cool idea???I wanted to sell few of my paintings so i tried selling them online by posting a free ad at OLX and Quickr.surprisingly I got a tremondous response and they all got sold out soon.I even pay all my bills through online only.
Eventhough i miss the touch and feel experience,i prefer online shopping is one of the best service that everyone should experience. It helps to buy anything at any time for anyone from being anywhere. So shopping is just a click away.

Love or Arranged????
A real story of a known person
Every one has a dream about their marriage.Ravi,an human resourse professional too dreamt of his soulmate with loads of expectations and wishes. Some prefers Love marriage and some prefers arranged marriage.According to indian culture, arranged marriages are considered to be the best for perfect relationship.Ravi's parents had showed him the photo of the bride they had seen for him.He was told that, they have analsyed about the girls family background, financial background, education and etc etc...anyhow he didnt love anyone so he agreed to have a lifetime commitment with the girl, with the tag of so called as 'Arranged marriage' Married life was smooth only for an year later it turned out to be bitterAll his dreams about married life got shattered by his wife.she was so adamant and arrogant.they are blessed with a baby boy but that doesnt make any difference in her.still he adjusted for the sake of his son.she wanted to live a hi-five life.ravi couldnt able to fulfill her expectations and so she is...He got compromised for many things but things became worse for him.so at some point of time they decided to split...
She gave him divorce taking a lumpsum.now.he got relieved from the stress of marriage which he had undergone for around ten years.
He was forced for re-marriage.but this time he was clear about \his marriage, before getting in to the wedlock he wanted to love and understand someone and marry. He fell in love with a girl who met his expectations so they decided to marry. This time also fate played in his life.Luckily before they get married she ran way with someone biding him goodbye and giving him some silly reasons for her doings.
So according to me whether its a love or arranged marriage, their should be a real love, mutual understanding and trust between the couples for a successful marriage.
This post is an entry for the Indiblogger contest Love ya Arranged marriage.

I stood up for them...
I remembered a real incident that happened years ago, when Womensweb asked us to write for the contest I stood up Blogathon...
It was a rainy day, me and my friend ritu was waiting for an auto after finishing our shopping.Rain water was flowing on the streets due to heavy down pouring.A cool breeze was brushing our face every now and then and it was drizzling then.
Ritu, suggested for a cup of hot tea.even i need to get refresh after a tiredsome days work and shopping,so we went to a near by hotel.
A small boy around ten or twelve years served us the tea.I was shocked seeing him in such a state.he was wearing tattered dirty clothes. It was not his appearance that shocked me.It was his age and his condition that shocked me.he was mal nutritioned.he is not supposed to work at that young age.I was thinking what to do about this child labour.when i told my friend about my worry for the child.she asked me to be quite and not to make it an issue by saying,
"This is happening everywhere.why do you bother about it?.have your tea fastly as we have to catch the auto soon to head home" saying so she gulped off the tea. I took the tea cup helplessly.
then,I noticed another boy of same age in the shop were carrying tea cups in his little hands to deliver in the rain to the office in front of that hotel.that was quite a shocking view to witness,I got up and reached for the manager in that hotel.by that time the little boy returned from the delivery.shivering vigorously and wiping off the rain drops from his wet face with his wet hands and squeezing out the water from his banian.when we all want our children to play with best toys and get best education.then how can one hire a children for work?that also in this rain.
I clicked few snaps of the boys and the hotel in my mobile camera.seeing this the manager also posed well for the pictures thinking that iam going to post it in the facebook wall or in the twitter.
"Child labour is an offence.don't you know that?" i asked this question clicking few more snaps of the boy. who is busily attending the customers.
I understood that my question startled him as the broad smile on his face vanished away in seconds.
He said that they are sent by their parents to work to support their financial needs and he justified his act with a logic that it saves them from starvation and prevent them from being sucked into the world of crime. Childhood is the time to garner the best intellectual capacity of the children, but people like you hires these poor children for less pay and makes their life crucial.I threatened him that i am going to write about their hotel and will publish those photos of child labour in the next day news paper"
The owner promised me that he wont hire any children as labours and requested me to forgive him.He immediately settled the payment to the boys and asked the boys to leave home and study. Then i told the little boys to go to school and study well and gave my business card to contact me if he need any kind of help.My friend appreciated me for this brave act. That is how i stood up against the child labour.

Hair problems???No way....
Iam blessed with a thick, long, black, waist length cascade of hair, while my sister got a short and curly hair.Everybody appreciated my long hair.Hair is not much importance to me,so I never bothered to care or nourish it,but My mom used to oil it regularly and comb into two plaits and ties it like a pony tail with ribbons, Every friday she used to wash my hair with warm water and Kunkudukai(soap nuts) or shikakai powder.then she smokes my hair with sambrani after every head bath to prevent infections.it gives a nice fragrance to my hair and gives a mental relaxation too. After the school hours she braids my hair with different styles and decorates it with fresh jasmines and other seasonal flowers.
Even my sister loves to comb my hair, whenever she gets a chance to brush it she chops some of my long hair out of jealously.I cant even recognise it until my mom asks me why i cut my hair.Mom always took good care of my hair and combs it regularly with oil.
It was quite difficult for me to maintain such a long and heavy plaits of hair.so i often chop my hair into bob cut to make my sister ease. The beautician in the parlour collected my long tresses carefully to make an wig and some hair attachments. i never suffered from dandruff, lice or hair fall until i underwent a surgery for my leg.I was completely bedridden for more than six months. It took few more months for me to recover completely. The mental and physical stress i underwent reflected on my hair which i neglected in the course of treatment and physiotherapy etc.
My hair started thinning vigourously.whenever i comb my hair, bunch of hair came along with the comb.
I completely negelected my hair care due to work presurre. This negligence led to total hair loss.by that time i went to my native to attend my cousin wedding.
When everyone is busy in dicussing about their jewels and saris one of my cousin asked me that question holding my plait." Akka, where is your hair?"
I was very much shocked at the question and looked at my plait.
"hey, what do you mean?Cant you see my hair?"i asked in still shocking voice.
"Not this...earlier you used to have a thick hair, which i cant hold in single hand.now look at this"
"Yeah...she is right.Earlier you had a very thick and long hair, which i always yearned to have..." joined my
aunt.
Everyone around there made same comments. For the very first time i realised the importance of hair, which enhances the beauty of every woman.after that incident,i started taking care of my hair.but in vain.every time i comb my hair,i lost thousands of strands each time.whenever i let my hair loose.the falling hair covers the floor of my house almost every nook and corner.
I worried of losing hair and it increased the stress more.a dermmatologist friend of mine, prescribed me a cream and asked me to use a mild shampoo and oil massage.i bought special wooden combs to preserve my left over locks and brushed it gently and regularly.I followed every tip hair care tip told by anyone and everyone.I consumed fresh juices, fruits, greeny vegetables etc.
The use of shampoo got me into the trouble of dandruff.so i tried all kind of shampoos available in stores and faced problems.atlast on one fine day, i got a dove gift hamper from indiblogger.Initially i was afraid to try any more new shampoo.so i gave it to my sister in law.she forgot to take it along with her.so i started using it without a heart of throwing it away.the regular use of this shampoo made a miracle. The mildness of that oil theraphy shampoo played a good role in preventing my hairfall. The hair was growing again and kept a fullstop to the hair fall and that was the end of my hair problems.now my hair gained more volume.it was not the same type of volume which i had earlier, but still i got enough to get the attention of other females, and get Wow...what a beautiful long hair kinda expressions in public.so iam very happy for getting my hair back.on my head with a pride. Its Owner's pride and everyones envy...
Thanks to dove for helping me in bringing back my lovely hair and making the guys fell for my hair..

My Experience with a Biker
Got this T-shirt as a participation gift
Like every woman has a passion for sarees and jewellery, likewise men has a passion for bikes and biking. My brother is not an exception.
He is a rash driver and none of his friends beat him in biking.he got such a passion for bike riding. From his childhood,he takes our dad’s bike and drives in his absence.sometime he hits on a tree or a lamp post near my home and gets nicely from dad for taking his bike without his knowledge..
When we gifted him a bike on his birthday he was so much delighted.his happiness knew no bounds.he offered pooja to it and then took every one of us for a ride.from then he kept his bike dirt free.he spent most of his time grooming his bike to keep it shine like new.he neglected playing and spending time with his friends.he goes for a near by shop in his bike.he was so proud of his YAMAHA.
He is such a wonderful biker who gives a pleasant experience to the traveler.at first I was quite afraid traveling with him as he drives very fast.later I understood the tactics he used to drive,so I like to travel with my brother happily in his bike.
We went to shop in the ranganathan street, the most crowded place in Chennai city,we enjoyed pani puris, sweet corn etc in the stalls sitting on our bike, munching the fried peanuts while driving.
Traveling is a pleasure enjoying the drizzling on a national highway road, but he drives carefully so that the bike wont skid on the wet roads.we went for a long drives on weekends.he roamed around the city in his bike and even went to tirupati and kalahasti in his monster(bike).
He doesn’t care about his health or food.he always love to explore with his bike but I fear about his safety.that was my wonderful experience i had with a biker(My brother).

Happy Ugadi
Wish you all a very happy Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Day.
This bunch of roses bloomed today to welcome the new year with me.This festival is celebrated with different names in different states of India like “Gudi Padwa” in Maharastra and “Ugadi” in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
On this special day we make a special dish with Neem buds, jaggery, raw mango, red chilli, salt and tamarind juice are ground together to make a coarse paste Called as “ Ugadi Pachadi" in Telugu. This paste has a very special significance, which denotes all the tastes that life has to offer like bitter, sweet, salty, spicy and sour. All the family members tastes this chutney to remember that life is a mixture of pleasure and pain, and we should be prepared to accept whatever life offers.

Celebrating Myself
This post is an entry for the contest on Women's Web "Celebrate Myself" .
Every year women's day comes and goes by but how many of us is celebrating ourselves??? Many women would have not thought of celebrating themselves. We never realize our worth until someone praises the best in us, but most people won’t do that.
Every year women's day comes and goes by but how many of us is celebrating ourselves??? Many women would have not thought of celebrating themselves. We never realize our worth until someone praises the best in us, but most people won’t do that.
Everyone is ready to find fault in others. In my case also many thought education is not necessary for a handicapped girl. But I overcame all that and passed my post graduation with flying colors. The spirit in me helped me to reach my goals however negative minded people tried to push me down.
When my friends were searching for a job badly. I thought of helping them and the needy jobless persons to get the jobs. Thus I decided to start a recruitment consultancy to provide jobs for the needy, but the so called negative minded people piled the negative ideas on me asking silly questions like, being a girl, you cannot run a business. Being a physically challenged girl how can you do the business alone? You are going to push your family into trouble. Females never succeeded in business as it’s a male dominated industry. This kind of ideas and suggestions rose from everyone, but I was firm on my decision and started the firm with zero investment and running it successfully till date. Now those who discouraged me in the past, is calling me to find a job for their children and their siblings to get the suitable job.
Every time I fell down, I use to tell myself "I can" to get up again. That’s my success mantra. I never let my spirit go down. I celebrate myself everyday for every simple achievement of mine. That gives me a positive energy to me to achieve my goals crossing all the hurdles that comes in my life path.
I tried my hand in painting and I succeeded in that too. When i have written a story for a Tamil magazine, which had won me a cash prize and publish. that was my another little achievement. Its not that I have to celebrate only when I achieved something. I will celebrate myself, when I cook a favorite recipe for my family. I celebrate myself when my students scores good marks in exams. I even celebrate for having a sound sleep. Every woman has to celebrate herself. If we don't celebrate ourselves then who else will???
I have been a loving daughter, caring sister, helping friend, successful writer, good painter, entrepreneur etc.I am happy for being what I am and I will celebrate myself for being woman.
As Louise otto said "the history of all times and of today especially teaches that...
women will be forgetten if they forget to think of themselves"so i celebrate myself. How about you???
women will be forgetten if they forget to think of themselves"so i celebrate myself. How about you???

Life is what you make it
Book Review:-
“Life is what you make it” is an inspiring and motivating story of the protagonist Ankita.
She is young, good looking and smart and has many friends in her life. Even boys swooning over her. Everything seems to go in her favour as she manages to get into a premier management school for her MBA. Sadly, six months later, she is a patient in a mental health hospital in Bangalore. As it is discovered, she has bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is a serious brain disorder that causes dramatic shifts in moods, energy levels, attitudes and ability to carry day to day tasks. It can be severely crippling that it can result in damaged relationships, poor job or academic performance and even suicide.
Destiny pushes Ankita off track in her life. Perhaps, many would have given up at this stage. But how Ankita stands up with courage and determination to take control of her life is the crux of this truly motivating story.
The author has mentioned that this book though a work of fiction but it is based on some real experiences. If the character of Ankita is real, then hats off to her! She is one of the role models for life. She shows us how to make the best out of our individual lives!
This book not just entertains you, but it makes you to take stock of your life and inspires you to be the ‘real’ you! Also go for what you truly believe in deep inside your heart. We all have just one life and we need to make the best use of it so that life would be proud of us in the end.
I being a writer myself, remember one of my reader’s reactions after reading my story “Another Dream”. This story had touched her so much that she wanted to live her life with passion. I never thought that my story would have so much impact upon my reader. Now, the same thing has happened to me after reading this book. I would say that it is one of those books which made an impact upon me.
This happens to be my first book review. I thank my colleague Prashanth for giving me this book and making me to read it. I also thank Preeti for writing such a wonderful book!
This book is already a best seller. But still I highly recommend it to all those who haven’t yet read it. Please read it!

Heart break
Neha rushed crying
"Maa...he broke my heart"She sobbed wiping her moist cheeks.
"Who?"
"That idiot,Rahul"
"Our neighbour's son?"
"Hmmm.."She nodded.
"Come lets ask"she took her hand and went out.
"Why do you broke her heart balloon Rahul?" she asked
"She broke mine too Aunty" he sobbed showing his broken balloon.
Murder
"Dhummmmm"
she woke up letting out a loud shriek from a deep sleep.
Her husband was sitting besides her on the bed with blood stained hands.
"You killed again?"
"yes, how can i spare someone who tries to harm my sweet wife?"He said.
"Hmmm...you showed your heroism on a poor mosquito" she sighed.

A Short story
By
Prabhavathi.K
That morning seethamma brought her 6 years old daughter Sudha along with her to work in Elisha's house.
Sudha sat in a corner of the room silently gazing at the toys neatly arranged in the showcase without disturbing anyone.
Sudha always yearns to play with Cathy's toys.Cathy got a very good collection of toys. She loves the big fur teddy bear with oval eyes, the Rocking horse in which she always dream off sitting on it and riding to and fro like the Great queen Jhansi rani Lakshmi bhai,Then she likes to jump on the bean bag chair once, she wants to hug that Micky mouse doll, play with those Beautiful satin cuisons, cars, balls, dolls, the swing in that hanging swing and want to touch the most beautiful barbie girl toy.
"Take this chocolates" Cathy stood there holding a pack of chocolates in front of sudha.
"No" she denied nodding her head.
Cathy stood there firmly holding it straight in front of her.
"Take it else she wont leave you" Elisha's voice came from Kitchen.
She looked at her mother from the corner of her eye.
She signaled her to take it,mopping the floor.
She grabbed it from her hands and started eating as if she never tasted such sweetmeat.
"Come lets play" Cathy pulled sudha's hand.Sudha was so happy to play with all those expensive toys.It was like a dream come true.
"We are going out for shopping today.Mom will purchase me,a new dress, chocolates, cakes, dolls, gifts, ice creams and loads of things for this Christmas and new year. What about you?Which dress are you buying for this new year" Cathy asked joyfully playing with the cuddly doll.
"We dont shop for new year.Appa gets me dress only for Pongal" Sudha said in dull tone.
"Sudha come" seethamma came calling her after finishing her work.
She went off with her mother dropping the toys sadly.Cathy waved bye to her.
That Evening Cathy and her mom Elisha Strode into one of the Textile showroom in the Express Avenue mall. The mall was beautifully decorated with colourful lights in festive mood.Everyone was busy in shopping spree as Festivals are around the corner.
They strode through the new varieties.Cathy liked one beautiful frock wrapped around the doll standing in the showcase.Elisha bought a dozen different dresses and loads of new toys for cathy,as she is their only daughter and christmas is the only festival they celebrate very grandly.
"Mom,i want that dress too" she said pointing at one more Masakali Salwar kameez.
"Hmmmmm" She nodded her head in agreement,as she want to give all the happiness on the day.
Cathy jumped in joy.Elisha felt happy seeing her daughter jumping with happiness.
Almost everyone pinched her cheek. She was such a adorable cutie of 6 years. She attracts everyone with her kiddish language and with charming smile.
Then they shopped some household stuff too. After their shopping, they had their dinner and enjoyed the KFC dishes in the Mall.
Next day Cathy was eagerly waiting for sudha to show what she has shopped the previous day. When Seethamma came for work with Sudha.
Cathy took sudha to her room and showed her all the things that she had bought.
Sudha touched everything with a yearning eyes.
"How is this dress?"Cathy asked Sudha showing the salwar.
"Very nice" She said looking down.
"This is for you only.Take it" She said with a dimple smile.
She nodded her head in rejecting manner.
"This is my new year gift for you take it." Cathy said again.
Turning to her mom she said,"Mom tell her to take this"
For a moment she felt proud of her daughter for sacrificing her favourite dress to Sudha. With a surprised look at Cathy,Elisha said " Take it Sudha"
Sudha's eyes sparkled with happiness. She couldnt believe what was happening around her.Seethamma thanked them with a tearful gratitude.
This christmas is really a wonderful one for her family, and the coming year is really a happy new year for Seethamma's daughter.
She offered her some chocolates and toys too wishing her
"Merry christmas and Happy new year"
"Happy New Year" sudha shook her hands cheerfully hugging the dress and toys.
She had seen the real happiness in the eyes of sudha.
That was the real Festival for Elisha filled with satisfaction. She hugged her daughter for showing the pleasure of giving.
