Pencil sketches

Pencil Sketches of my Sweet little Niece.
Earlier I used to teach my niece about pencil drawing or sketches. By the time she never showed much interest. But later she used to learn a bit.

Recently she had a self interest in drawing pencil sketches and kept on drawing wonderful drawings..
These are the beautiful Pencil Sketches that she had drawn by her own.

She has to improve herself more in this art. But I feel really happy as she had drawn this much just by seeing the image in the mobile. So a big applause to her from me.

Tamil university

My recent visit to Tamil University at Thanjavur for a practical Exam in BLIS course.

10 short stories

These short stories are so meaningful that i have got in whatapp...

1) She was very excited
     today, after all the
     school was re-opening
     after a long summer
     break. Now, once
     again, she could start
     selling stationery at
     the traffic signal to
     feed her family.

2) She, a renowned artist
     and a strict mother,
     often scolded her 6-
     year-old son for he
     could never draw a
     line straight. As he
     breathed slowly into
     the ventilator, she
     begged him to make
     one more crooked line
     on the ECG.

3) "Everyone goes with
      the flow… but the one
     who goes against it
     becomes someone
     remarkable.” Before I
     could explain this to
     the traffic police, the
     man issued me a fine.

4) Their love was
     different. She was
     happy every time he
     kicked her in the
     stomach. Every time
     he kicked she loved
     him more. She waited
     for the time she would
     hold her baby for the
     first time.

5) All my toys are yours..!
     Read her brother’s
     death note.

6) They took his father,
     and only returned a
     flag.

7) At 25, I became a
mother of one; at 27 I
     became a mother of
two; and today, at 55, I
     have become a
     mother of three!  My
     son got married today,
     and brought home his
     wife!

8) “Born to rich parents,
      this boy is so lucky,”
      exclaimed the
      neighbors!
      Somewhere in
      heaven, three unborn
      sisters cried.

9) “You ruined my career,
      I was supposed to be
      an Executive Director,”
      she thought to
      herself.  The little
      angel held her finger
      tightly and she forgot
      everything; A mother
      was born.

10) Once a 5-year-old boy
       was standing
       barefoot in the
       shallow water of the
       ocean. He was
       repeating the same
       sentence to the
       waves – “Even if you
       touch my feet a
       thousand times, I
       won’t forgive you for
       taking my parents
       away.

_Breath taking! Aren't they?

Even Gods Have Problems

Recently i got this story in whatsapp. toughtful one so like to share here with you all...

My nephew dragged me to a Satsangh, saying u are sitting whole day at home, and I went reluctantly. And I said to myself, that since I have not slept well these last few days, maybe the boring satsang will put me to sleep for a few hours.
Well, I was in for a pleasant surprise. The saint was really good, and humorous and he broached the topic of human problems. He said we are all complaining allthe time, but even the gods have their own set of problems, much more than us. Here is what he said, this is what I remember from his speech.

Lord Shiva and Vishnu were sitting one day, and Shiva was complaining to Vishnu
about his problems. Here is what he said.
I have two sons Ganesh and Kartikiya.(I did not know about kartikya).Ganesh Sits on a mouse, kartikya sits on a peacock. And I have a snake around my neck.
The peacock eyes the snake(peacocks eat snakes). My snake eyes Ganesha’s Mouse. Worse, I sit on the Nandi, the Bull, and my wife Parvati sits on the lion. Now the lion is eyeing my Nandi.
I have so much trouble balancing these things about. Worse still, Parvati does not like her sister , Ganga to sit on my head. It is so cold on Kailash, and with all these problems, very little clothes on me, I wanted to kill myself.i drank poison, but that got stuck in my throat, and I cant even die .

Vishnu said, your problems are nothing , listen to mine.
I have one son, Kaamdev, the lord of lust. He has created havoc in the cosmos. I am ashamed.
I have one wife. Laxmi. Everyone prays to me, but want her to come to their house. And no one wants to let her go. Shiva, ur wife is with u, mine is roaming all around the world, with no one wanting to leave her, how would u feel in my place?
Also my Vahaan, the vehicle of travel, is Garud, the big bird. I have no seat belt, so cold up there, and one swish, and I am dead.

You are sitting in one place , kailash, and look at me I am sitting in the ocean, on the head of Sheeshnag, with multiple heads, and if one head goes wonky and bites me, I am dead .
I was laughing all the way, sleep disappeared, and I came to realize that saintly teaching are not bad, that I should have listened more in my younger days, but never mind,I enjoyed this one this one a lot.

Yes we all have problems, each human being having his or her own set of problems. But we have to face them and get along and Enjoy what you have.

Usha birthday

Celebrated Ushas Birthday at Chennai this year withfun and joy.
It was a  nice experience to celebrate her birthday with family and friends again.

Kids are so happy jumping around the cake  and trying to taste the cake by  scraping the edges  cream at the edge and guessing the taste as mango or pine apple by licking the glazy cream of their tiny fingers while others trying to blow off the candles on the cake.

Some are busy in deciding whom to cut the cake.
So finally the celebrations went on well among the deep discussion among the little kids.

My way of being healthy

As it says “Health is Wealth”
Many forget to care about their health due to hectic work. Many neglect their health while searching for money and finally lands with obesity or diabetic or some other health issues. Then only they will realise the importance of being healthy

What I feel is let’s try to live a healthy life though in the busy schedule. Many working women skip their breakfast due to work burden which leads to stress and fatigue. To avoid such distress we need not work so hard to be healthy.

I am joining Saffola #ApneTareekeSeHealthy initiative and sharing my ways of being healthy in association with BlogAdda.

Grandparents day celebrations

This post has been selected as winner in Lovejatao contest sponsored by blogadda in association with Parachute advanced coconut oil.....

All these years we have celebrated many festivals and occasions. We even celebrate Valentine’s day,Bus day, Rosee day, Mothers day, Fathers day, childrens day, women's day and ofcourse senior citizens  day. Now here we celebrate the grandparents day.
My grandparents are so lovable and close to my heart and I love them so much but unfortunately i missed them two years back due to kidney failure.
I had seen her struggling for life on every dialysis treatment that she gone through. I thought she will survive for some more years as she is a strong woman with lots of will power. But God has others plans for her so she left the world leaving us in dismay. But she still remains in our heart forever. When we prepare some delicacies like Adhirasam, I remember her, because she is expert in making the sweet. On every Makar Sankranti festival she makes this tasty sweet with pure ghee and send it to Chennai through my Grandpa.

Now my kids are lucky enough for spending their childhood and growing up with their grandparents learning all the discipline that I had learnt and following the principles taught by them.
They are so close to their grand parents since from childhood. Chintu is the most lovable boy to his grand parents. Especially to his grandpa. When he was 2 years old he keeps running behind him for milk. His grandpa gets milk for him from the Aavin booth at 5.00 am and boils it. While it is boiling he keeps pestering for milk having the glass ready in hand jumping around his grandpa in kitchen. When it comes to boiling point a wide smile spreads on his face in happiness. He gulps off the milk with a great joy and sleeps off. Actually we call him catty and meow because he asks for milk whenever he feels hungry because it is easy to drink off than munching some solid food.
When he finds his granny getting ready to go to market. He will get ready wearing chappal and wait in the gate before her, he goes to the market along with her and gets some snacks and also carries the snacks Bag in his little hands. He also sleeps next to her at night and listens to the bedtime stories that she narrate with great joy which he listens with great excitement. He also goes to them for some extra pocket money or for some chocolates. Gudiya rani falls on her feet (Par cho kar) and requests for chocolates or some delicacies thats how they enjoys every moment of their childhood with their grand parents.

.

Greetings done by Neha for the surprise party with a message card which expressed her love for them.

On every wedding anniversary of their grand parents we arrange a family get-together. Our kids gifts them with a hand made greeting card and a kiss, which brings them loads of happiness instead of receiving a valuable gifts presented to them. They grabs their grand children in their hands and hugs them showering kisses.

They use to celebrate their birthdays, wedding anniversary, festivals and other occasions learning every reason behind the celebration of the festivals, our culture and custom.
This year they got to know about grandparents day which falls on 10th September. So they planned to surprise them with a party so they arranged along with their cousins. They took out their pocket money which they have saved in their penny box and informed his uncle to get a cake to surprise their grandparents with a mid night party and also requested me for a Salwar from the boutique for their granny.

Gudiya Rani gifted them a beautiful hand made Greetings which was so colourful and meaning. The message that she had written in it is so meaningful which surprised me instead

I look forward to hear from you how would you celebrate Grandparents day and watch the below video. This post is written for the blogadda Love jatao contest sponsored by Parachute.

Floral Hair Buns

Youngsters always love to leave their hair free. Some tie their hair into a simple Pony where other likes to braid their hair in different ways decorating with flowers.  Hair Buns are all time favourite to anyone. Because though we use to hair dress in various styles, we always feel comfortable with the Hair buns. Hair Buns are the easiest style of Hair dressing. It is also the oldest style where women use to make this hair bun just by twisting the hair and turn it in to a top bun. It is not time consuming also. Especially the chennaites prefer this very hair style because of the sunny weather where the hair buns keep women from sweat free.
