Lets fly to Melbourne

Melbourne one of the most sophisticated cities of the world and dream destination for me just like anyone else, which is situated in the south- East corner of mainland Australia. Melbourne is the capital city and also a very populous city in Australia.

I heard people saying that the melbourne is a city of vibrant energy, restaurants, fashion boutiques, café-filled laneways, cool bars, unbeatable galleries, spacious parks and village-like inner suburbs, each with its own special character. Melbourne is a young city and as such it never sits still. Modern, cutting-edge designs add to the fascinating mix of heritage architecture and the most livable city of the world.

The city hosts visitors from all around the world. The  population is made up of many groups of people of all ages and from many different cultures. Melbourne is one of the safest, healthiest, and cleanest cities in the world. It supports Melbourne's position as Australia's pre-eminent centre for arts and culture, education, dining and shopping.

The Climate of Melbourne city has moderate and frequent changeable climatic condition. One should be ready to face the unpredictable weather conditions.

Summer is the best time to head out to visit the amazing golden beaches and in autumn one can experience the glorious beauty of the European-style parks.  Cosy cafes and bars is the best place which makes the tourists comfortable in the winter. Spring is  a great time to head back into our parks and revel in the beautiful parks and gardens. one can enjoy their visit through out the year at Melbourne as we can enjoy the place in all the four seasons.

Melbourne is famous for its community festival Moomba and cultural events like architecture, literature, film and television as it is the birth place of Australian film and Television.
Melbourne attracts not just me alone it attracts many number of tourists because of its  breath taking and famous tourists spots like
1.The landmark Regent Theatre holds an important  part in the city’s history since opening as a grand picture palace in 1929 and continues to host some of the world’s most renowned theater productions.
2.Hosier Lane has some hidden treasures of the beautiful lanes of Melbourne.
3.Shrine of Remembrance which is the most iconic landmark, where Victorians have been coming since 1934 to honour the service and sacrifice of Australian men and women in war.
4.Yarra River is the Ganges of Melbourne and the banks of river is good for trekking.
5.Lygon Street south of Elgin is known as the food paradise and one can enjoy fresh pasta, coffee, pastries etc and chill around at the place.

you can get more details in Come alive in melbourne or you can browse through Australia website.

Great post! After reading your post & watching all the videos, I’d most like to visit the Dandenong Ranges for it’s scenic beauty, breathtaking view and cool breeze blowing through my hair. :P I’d give anything away for driving through the winding roads which are present throughout the ranges. I’d love to stay at one of the bed and breakfast cottages and go on frequent excursions in the forests with my camera which provides excellent views. And not to forget the famous ride in the Puffing Billy, a day reserved especially for that. To add to that, there are also several picnic spots for me and my friends to spend a fun-filled day and the ranges are a perfect spot for hiking and cycling.

Wonderful post and interesting videos that make me feel that
Melbourne invites the eternal romantic in me to hold hands with my beloved and go see the Twelve Apostles .Go on long drives on the great ocean road. In the middle of nowhere in a vineyard spread a table and enjoy a meal and a glass of wine with my dear one. Enjoy the sunsets holding hands and do lots of shopping at the Queen Victoria Market and see all the graffiti being created at the hosier lane.
Great Post and interesting videos watching them I am sure to visit Sovereign Hill for spending some time in the era gone by. The lure of gold and panning for some nuggets is a temptation that is too much to resist. After I have found the gold I am bound to celebrate it with some wine so I will visit the vineyards and enjoy some great wine from the Yarra region .Visit the Pannys Phillip Island Chocolate Factory and have my fill with this yummy delight.

Melbourne is a wonderful place and no doubt another place of heaven. I am in age of 60s so the peaceful things attract me a lot. I wish to visit Collingwood Children's Farm, I will be happy to spend my time with my family and do those activities which I & my grandson & granddaughter hardly did in their childhood.

Then I will sure visit some Indian restaurants because tasting Indian food in Melbourne style will be a great experience for all of us.

Royal Botanic Gardens, a place I can take deep breathe and give peace to my mind. This old woman needs a place where she can walk and see the beauty of nature. See the art of God which is consolidated in Royal Botanic Garden.

I am a kind of person who loves to live every second lively. And Melbourne is the most liveable city. My friends who work in Australia always say its the best place to live and work on this planet. So I always had that longing to visit the country.
I am a big fan of Tea, and since Melbourne is known for Tea culture, I would love to have Afternoon tea at Murchie's Tea.. I love those Whale watching and would love to watch a movie in the extremely high resolution and the enormous screen of IMAX Victoria and treat my ears with the powerful sound. Finally, I would love to experience the land-and-sea tour by the Victoria Hippo Tours and Adrena LINE Zipline Adventure

Interesting Post
After reading your post and watching all the videos
I feel I have stepped into a kaleidoscope called Melbourne
Where Vistas of experiences would unfold one after another
The nature lover in me is enticed by the thought of watching the penguin parade.
Traveling though the great ocean road, soaking up the freshness as the breeze ruffles my hair gets me in the mood to pack my bags for Melbourne.
But before I can move ,Puffing Billy whistles and invites me for a ride. The kid in me jumps with joy at the thought of visiting Pannys Phillip Island Chocolate Factory
Even before I can deside on the list of places that I would like to see in and around Melbourne.
What’s that noise that I hear ?
Oh its loud cheer from MCG as the cricket world cup 2015 is about to kick start.
So many plces to see and so much to do.
I am thetimetraveler ( http://goo.gl/wdXDzu ) and I have decided … Melbourne here I come ( http://goo.gl/RvUCQf )

Given a chance to visit Melbourne, I would absolutely make a run for Eureka Skydeck 88..Imagine the view of the city from such a great height of over 300 metres and while you are suspended in air in a glass box!
This is an experience not to be missed and I hope I get a chance to visit Melbourne and go explore Eureka Skydeck 88 soon :)
